Who's Responsible?

On The Way! first went on-line in late 1999 as Doug Chaltry's personal web-site. He wanted to post photos of his completed models, as well as provide in-box reviews of representative models from his large collection of un-built kits. The site quickly became very popular and experienced massive growth of both Doug's reviews and research articles, as well as viewer's contributed reviews and Gallery entries. After many years of trying to cope with the increasing burden that the site was placing on his free time, Doug had a modeling meltdown and decided to give up the site. After a short transition period, in early 2005 he turned it over to the capable hands of Simon Barnes. Simon continued to manage the site in the same vein that Doug initiated, and the site continued to experience massive growth. But the site's success ultimately claimed Simon as its second victim, and he decided, like Doug before him, to seek help from other interested modelers.

As of October 2008, On The Way! has been managed and operated by a committee of avid small scale armor modelers. These committee members share the responsibility of keeping the site up-to-date and processing articles and reviews contributed by site viewers. Short biographies are presented below of the committee members.
