Churchill Bridgelayer

Originally I built the scenic base for a different diorama, but then I found an Airfix Churchill Bridgelayer for half price (good thing, as I only used the bridge).

The Churchill Mk III Tank is an old Esci kit that I first built in 1992. The figure on the bridge is Airfix and the three Infantrymen are PSC.
They are all on their own bases because when an earthquake flings a diorama on to the floor upside-down, anything rigidly attached gets smashed to bits. We've had a lot of shakes lately. (Ed : Mike lives in Christchurch, New Zealand)

Anyone who has made the Revell/Matchbox Sherman Firefly kit will recognize the bridge. Most of the scenic material is Woodland Scenics and Noch stuff. The fence is from an Italeri set and the trees are made from Yarrow flower heads.
