British WWI Mark II "Female" 7.7mm barrel Lewis

This set is intended to replace parts found in the pair of Masterbox Mk.I "female" tank kits, numbers MB72002 & MB72004. Inside the package are 4 Lewis machine gun barrels, to replace the kit's shrouded Vickers machine guns, plus 4 matching turrets.

All of the parts are exquisite. Though I don't possess an example of either of the the Masterbox kits, from what I can see of sprue shots found on the web, the JK turrets are copies of the kit parts modified to accept the new Lewis barrels and are cast as a solid resin piece, with no flaws whatsoever and crisp detail. The Lewis MG barrels are fashioned from turned brass and have their muzzle ends hollowed out.

Overall, this is an excellent looking set. For those who wish to convert their Masterbox Mk.I "female" to use Lewis MGs instead of the kit's Vickers MGs, this set offers the path of least resistance.
