Ammunition Set No. 5

Kit # RE72341

Preview by Rob Haelterman

Again a very nice set from Attack, this time for one of the ubiquitous guns of WW2: the 5cm Pak38, which in a slightly different form was also used in the Panzer III and Puma.

The set contains 17 PzGr.Patr.39 (Armour Piercing Capped Ballistic Cap), 15 PzGr.Patr.40 (Armour Piercing Composite Rigid - Tungsten Core) and 18 empty shells, which are identical for both type of rounds. The rounds are free of blemishes, but most of the shell casings have an air bubble at the neck. The empty shells are open at one of their extremities.

On top of that you get 12 6-round boxes, 5 of which are closed, three are open, with 6 rounds and 4 are open with one round. The lids for these boxes are hinged and lie flat against the sides.

A second type of box that holds four rounds is also provided. Five are closed, two are open with three shells and five are open and empty. All of these boxes have separate lids.

A very practical set, in my opinion, if you want to add some action to a diorama where the Pak38 or KwK38 plays a central role.
