| The kit is the 72nd scale ACE T-54B # 72140 backdated with a few scratch built plastic and metal items to more accurately depict the T-54B as used by the North Vietnamese Army armored groups during the 1972 Spring invasion near Dong Ha. The South Vietnamese Marines added the markings on this T-54B after capturing the vehicle in recognition of their successful counter offensive operation “Quang Trung 729”. To aid me in this build I closely followed Doug Chaltry’s, excellent ACE kit construction review of the Post World War II Polish T-55. | |
