BT-5 with Cylindrical Turret

Kit # 360 Preview by Miro Baric - baricz(at)smallscaleafv.com

Introduction
Turrets for the new BT-5 tanks were simultaneously developed in two factories. The turret from the Mariupol factory was cylindrical, with a small ammo bin on the rear and one hatch on top. Only 230 turrets were built. For mass production of the BT-5 and also the T-26 model 1933, larger turrets made by the Izhorsky plant were adopted.

Contents
There are 4 sprues of green plastic and a small PE fret. Three sprues with the hull, wheels and tracks and photoetched parts are the same as in kit No. 301, so they are not shown here. Only one small sprue with the turret parts is different. While the top of the turret is nice, the turret sides are completely devoid of any details. You can see the rivets and vision slits even on the box art.

Markings
There are 3 decal options from 1935, 1939 and 1942.
