This is a set which seems to me to have some unrealized potential. It includes four figures, two each of two different poses, one of each of which is shown in the scan above. There is also a set of personal gear for each figure (one shown in the scan) which includes the canteen, bayonet, mess tin and gas mask container. On the etched frets are four Mauser rifles with straps, an MG-42, two MG ammo boxes and three spades. On the plus side, the figures are very well-sculpted and detailed. The heads and personal equipment are really quite nice. My main complaint is the lack of variety. Basically you get two figures to use in two different dioramas (unless you want duplicate figures in the same dio). And even then, these two poses, although different, really look quite similar. The modeler is allowed a little room for modification, by swapping arms, and positioning the arms and heads differently, but more poses would have definitely been better.

I have seen the previews of ExtraTECH's other two figure sets on Sandman's and Overlord's website, and I agree with their assessment that this one here is the best of the lot. Hopefully ExtraTECH will notice a difference in sales between the sets, and produce more like this one in the future.
