IS-3 Brass Detail Set

I always liked the Roden IS-3 kit, and thought that it only needed a couple of minor improvements to make it outstanding. This set provides all those improvements (well, except for replacement tracks). It's a fairly small set, but not much is needed either. There are details for the fuel drums, including their remote release mechanisms, some engine deck details, as well as the storage bin hatches for the later versions of the IS-3. The turret hatches are provided in full, for those who want to model the hatches open. There are also some machinegun details. About the only additional thing I would have like to see, are side fenders in order to make the IS-3M, but perhaps they would be beyond the ability to replicate in etched brass. The turret handholds are a little too 2-dimensional for my tastes, and in fact, I have already replaced my kit handles with bent wire. With this set in hand now, hopefully I can finish the Roden kit soon.
