SdKfz9 Famo accessory set

The Black dog resin is hard and light weight and may be molded in any color. I have as yet to see any tan colored resin as the company portraits on their box tops. They seem to have also switched from a large box, 4 inches by 4 inches to a slightly smaller end-opening box that measures 4 inches by 3 inches.

This set, T72018 is for the Sd.Kfz. 9 Famo (pronounced "FAH-mo", I believe). The box does not say if it is intended for the Revell or Trumpeter kit. This example is molded in dark grey and consists of 8 pieces. The door pieces (4) represent the canvas in a crumpled, open fashion. There are 2 bag/tarp pieces to be mounted on the fenders. The main pieces are a full roof tarp covering the driver's compartment and second row seating. The main piece gives us a cargo bed tarp folded back to reveal the Famo's load. The load detail is excellent with tarps, blankets, food stuffs, crates and for some odd reason, a few helmets thrown in. Though the folds are well done, there is no texture to the canvas tarp, which may or may not be noticed or even necessary in this scale. Personally, I would have enjoyed a more military like load of ammo or weapons as the cargo.

I recommend this set for its detail and simplicity, especially if you are not a big "do it your self" cargo or tarp maker.
