Kit # 72022 Reviewed by Simon Barnes

Cast in the usual buff coloured Resin of Armo, I find this to be a mixed bag of some good and some bad parts, some are nicely done and other a bit crude.

It is extremely well cast to the usual Armo standard with no flaws or air bubbles, the hull is cast as one piece with the wheels and suspension arms being seperate, which means that the vehicle can be stood on uneven ground realistically.

The shape of the hull is a bit odd, in that it is not square down the sidea and bows out in the middle, having no plans to check it seem very odd and although it is difficult to see in photos of the real vehicle, but they look to be square on all the pictures I have seen. The lower hull is square for the placement of the wheels, so there are no major problems there.

The gun is a multi part affair of 3 pieces, the lower part with the raising gear is very nicely done and well detailed, the other two parts which make up the barrel and breech are let down by poor mis-alignment of parts, I suppose that the barrel could be made straight, but the muzzle brake is mounted off centre, which can be fixed but not easily, the muzzle brake is also very crude.

The rest of the parts are also a mixed bag but no major problems, the tracks are nicely detailed and come in short lengths to be bent around the idler and sprocket using which ever method you prefer, the hot water or hot air.

The kit measures out well to 1/72nd scale although the bulge in the middle does make it slightly wide. This is not a kit for the faint of heart.
