With the release of the BTR-D and 2S9 Ace started to cover the the Airbourne element of the Russian Army, they have now released the long advertised BMD-1. This small but important vehicle, although not widely exported, has seen action in various locations around the world, namely in Afghanistan, Kosovo, Chechnya and Iraq.

The kit shares some sprues with the earlier BTR-D and 2S9, namely the wheels, and the hatch AT-4 sprue with the BTR-D kit, the upside of this is that you get 2spare wheels as the BMD-1 has only 5 road wheels as opposed to 6 on the BTR-D and 2S9.
